Egypt's exports to EU increased to 16.3 billion Euros in 2022
Minister Plenipotentiary for Trade Yehia El-Wathiq Billah, First Undersecretary of the Ministry of Trade and Industry and Head of Commercial Representation said that Egypt's exports to the European Union (UE) countries witnessed a big boom in 2022, with an increase of 79.1% to reach about 16.3 billion Euros, compared to 9.1 billion euros in 2021.
This came during Billah's inauguration Wednesday of a regional workshop, which runs from May 10 and 11.
It is held within the framework of the dialogue between the European Union and the southern neighboring countries.
He explained that the European strategy to achieve sustainability in food systems, known as the "Farm to Fork Strategy" strategy, represents one of the most important pillars of the new European policy package known as the "European Green Deal".
The policy aims to achieve sustainable development, taking into account the dimensions related to reducing carbon emissions, environmental protection, and human and food safety.
