Egypt's agriculture exports rise 17.2 percent in 5 months
Egypt’s top export crops during that period were citrus, potatoes, onions, sweet potatoes, strawberries, green beans, guava, garlic and pomegranates.
Citrus came in first place at 1.6 million tons followed by fresh potatoes at 668,695 tons and onions at 238,916 tons.
Egypt's trade balance deficit dropped by 48.2 percent to $2.1 billion in February 2023, down from $4.06 billion a year earlier, reported the Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics.
Data from the World Bank showed that Egypt's agriculture exports accounted for two percent of the country's total exports in 2022.
