Samsung to Establish New Mobile Phones Factory in Egypt's Beni Suef
The Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat affirmed that Egypt has become an attractive destination for many major companies operating in the field of manufacturing electronics to serve the local market and export to regional markets, as a result of the efforts exerted to localize this important industry.
This came during the Minister of Communications and Information Technology's meeting with John Soo Jung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of "Samsung Electronics - Egypt" and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, it was agreed to establish a Samsung factory to cover the requirements of the company's customers in Egypt on an area of 6,000 square meters in Beni Suef Governorate.
Talaat explained the state's keenness to adopt incentive policies for companies and to provide cadres at the highest level in specializations supporting the electronics industry. He pointed out that the establishment of the new Samsung factory in Beni Suef comes as a continuation of the successful cooperation process with the international company, "Samsung", which resulted in Manufacturing the educational "tablet" in Egypt.
