SCZone Receives Russian Delegation to Continue Negotiations on RIZ

The General Authority of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) received this morning at its headquarters in Sokhna a high-level Russian delegation of representatives of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Russian Finance Corporation (VEB) and RF, the investment arm of the Russian government responsible for financing and implementing the Russian industrial zone within the SCZone as well as representatives of Russian companies wishing to invest in the zone .

The delegation was received by Mohammed Baraya, Vice Chairman of the Northern Zone, Walid Youssef, Vice Chairman of the Southern Zone, and a number of officials.

The visit included a meeting between SCZone officials and members of the Russian delegation to discuss the completion of the steps for the establishment of the Russian Industrial Zone (RIZ) in Sokhna and East Port Said integrated zones. The visit comes as a prelude to receiving Russian companies and industries in the targeted sectors within SCZone’s strategic vision.
