Suez Canal Witnesses Transit of Japanese Container Ship “ONE FRIENDSHIP” on Maiden Voyage
The navigation traffic in the Suez Canal witnessed Sunday the transit of the “ONE FRIENDSHIP” container ship, the latest container ship of the Japanese ONE shipping line, which was built in 2023, on its maiden voyage
The container ship passed through the South convoy on its journey from Saudi Arabia to Egypt, with a tonnage of 155,000 tons, a length of 366 meters and a depth of 51 meters.
Osama Rabie, head of the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) announced earlier today the resumption of the transit of the cargo ship XIN HAI TONG 23 through the canal within the convoy of the south after completing its repair by the ship’s crew and ensuring its capability of sailing, out of a total of 88 ships from both directions, with a total net tonnage of 6 million tons.
