Egyptian Logistics Startup Trella Raises USD 3.5 M Funding
Egypt’s marketplace for trucks, Trella, has raised USD 3.5 M from newly-launched private equity fund Avanz Capital Egypt. The company has recently announced its support for the logistics startup, Trella, alongside the launch of two new funds and a commitment to investing in existing funds and companies. Last year, Trella also secured USD 6 M in debt funding from ALMA Sustainable Finance (ALMA) and the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC).
Trella is a real-time B2B technology platform and trucking marketplace that connects shippers and carriers. It reportedly has over 350 shipper partners, including blue-chip companies like Coca-Cola, Maersk, Mondi, Henkel, Orascom, and Cemex. Besides Egypt, Trella also has operations in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
