Agriculture Min. Announces Spending EGP 7.7 Bln for Livestock Breeders within Veal Project
Al-Sayed el-Quseir, Minister of Agriculture confirmed that the National Project for the Revival of veal had a good impact on the sector, adding - in press statements today - that EGP 7.7 billion were disbursed to finance livestock breeders.
The minister said that the total funding for the national project to revive the veal, so far more than EGP 7.7 billion for about more than 42,000 beneficiaries, to raise and fatten about half a million livestock, whether calves for meat production or high-productive wheels, to provide more meat and livestock.
This project comes within the framework of the presidential initiative “A decent life” launched by President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to develop the Egyptian countryside and raise the level of small farmers.
The project also aims to support small farmers, female breeders and youth within the framework of the government's keenness to lift the burden on the Egyptian farmer, create new job opportunities, return the productive village and increase red meat.
