Egypt to Launch "No to Plastic" Initiative in July

Egypt's Ministry of Environment is set to launch a national initiative under the slogan "No to Plastic", on social media platforms next  July.

"The "No to Plastic" initiative aims to raise awareness of the dangers of single-use plastic products," said Egypt's Ministry of Environment.

The new initiative will support government efforts to reduce the amount of plastic waste leaking into the environment by demonstrating alternative greener approaches.

It will also contribute to UNIDO’s Program for Country Partnership (PCP) for Egypt, launched in February 2020, which aims at achieving inclusive and sustainable industrial development.
