Egyptian agricultural exports witness robust growth in first half of 2023
The Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Mr. Mohamed Al-Quseir, has confirmed that total agricultural exports during the period from January 1, 2023, to July 5, 2023, reached approximately 4,654,246 tons of agricultural products. This marks an increase of 717,896 tons compared to the previous year, which recorded around 3,936,350 tons during the same period.
Mr. Al-Quseir also noted that for the first time, Egyptian citrus exports have reached one million and 900 thousand tons, according to a report received by the minister from Dr. Ahmed Al-Attar, Chairman of the Egyptian Agricultural Quarantine Authority, regarding Egyptian agricultural exports during the first half of the year.
The Minister of Agriculture expressed his gratitude to Egyptian farmers and exporters, commending the efforts of the Agricultural Quarantine Authority, Ministry-affiliated laboratories, and the Export Council.
