Egyptians Withdrew EGP 35.2 Billion from ATMs in Two Weeks

The National Bank of Egypt’s automated teller machines achieved unprecedented exchange rates, starting from 6/18/2023 until 7/1/2023, as they exceeded EGP 35.5 billion through more than 14 million withdrawal clients, throughout the salary disbursement periods, as well as during the Eid al-Adha holiday.

Withdrawals reached their climax on Sunday, June 25, with more than 1.6 million withdrawals at an amount of EGP 4.22 billion pounds in one day.

NBE said in a statement - that all its ATMs spread throughout the republic were fed at exceptional rates to meet the needs of citizens for cash 24 hours a day, in order to ensure that the withdrawals that citizens need throughout the holidays are carried out with ease and ease, in coordination with the National Bank of Egypt. In the same context, the National Bank of Egypt provided mobile ATMs in some coastal cities, including the North Coast, Alexandria, Ras Sidr, Marsa Matrouh, Mousa Coast and Ain Sukhna, in addition to increasing the number of fixed machines in those areas, coinciding with the summer season and holidays.
