Egypt among top 25 countries in IATA Air Global Connectivity Index 2022
According to the Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) on Tuesday, Egypt ranked fourth in the Middle East and North Africa.

The index results are indicative of a recovery trend in global flight traffic, measured by revenue passenger kilometres (RPKs). 2022 witnessed a 68.5% improvement in the RPK recovery rate.
The US was ranked first in RPK recovery rate, followed by the UK, Germany, Spain, and Italy. In the Middle East, the UAE topped the list, followed by Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
Egypt has taken major steps in recent months to boost tourist traffic through national airports, and attract more Europeans to visit the country.
As many as 7 million tourists visited Egypt during the first half of 2023, with the yearly total expected to reach 15 million by the end of the year, up from 11.7 million tourists in 2022.
