Ahmed El-Sheikh Named New Head of Egyptian Stock Exchange
The Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly issued a decision Thursday, appointing Ahmed El Sheikh as head of the Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX) for a year, to succeed Ramy El Dokani, who assumed responsibility for a year on August 25, 2022.
Ramy El Dokani's tenure as Chairman of the Egyptian Stock Exchange ended on August 24, in addition to Heba El Serafy, Vice President of the Stock Exchange.
El-Dokani had assumed the presidency of the Egyptian Stock Exchange, succeeding Mohamed Farid, who became president of the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA), by a decision of the Egyptian president, for a period of one year, which was renewed for an additional year a few days ago.
El-Sheikh has held the position of Vice President of the Financial Regulatory Authority since August, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Misr Information Publishing Company EGID, EGIT Technical Services Company, the Egyptian Stock Exchange Holding Company for the Development of Financial Markets, and the Investor Protection Fund.
