Egypt, India cooperate to establish international training centre

Minister of International Cooperation Rania Al-Mashat met Tuesday with Ambassador of India in Egypt Ajit Gupta, to examine ways to strengthen strategic cooperation between both countries. 

The officials examined ways for India to establish an international training centre in Egypt. The training program would open a possible path for a tripartite partnership between Egypt, India, and the African countries. Such program would also propose a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience.

Al-Mashat praised the ongoing cooperation efforts between both countries, and the eagerness to work together to develop strategic partnerships. 

Egyptian-Indian relations have been established for the past 75 years and are set for development due to the signing of a memorandum to raise the level of cooperation. 

The minister also highlighted the ongoing Indian investment in Egypt, especially in the pharmaceutical, software, handicraft, and small and medium enterprises industries.

Furthermore, Al-Mashat called for cooperation in supporting governmental initiatives such as the “Decent Life” initiative, “Hands of Egypt”, and the “Novi” program, which aims to link energy, food, and water projects.
