Egypt’s e-trade exports record 2.9% in 2021: CAPMAS
Egypt’s exports from electronic trade (e-trade) raises from 0.2 percent to 2.9 percent of total exports during the period between 2011 and 2021. This came in the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) report on e-commerce.
Egypt also comes in the place in terms of the percentage of imports from e-commerce as the total merchandise trade increased from 3.5 percent to 4.8 percent between 2011 and 2021.
Egypt ranked 109th globally and 13th among Arab countries in 2020 according to the e-trade Readiness Assessments issued by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
