El Mohandes Jotun inaugurates state-of-the-art factory at Zona Franca industrial zone
El Mohandes Jotun, one of Egypt’s leading paint manufacturers, announces the inauguration of its new, state-of-the-art factory situated within the 10th of Ramadan City at Zona Franca industrial zone. With an investment surpassing $100 million, the new factory is built over an expansive area of 94,000 square meters and has a production capacity of 70 million liters of paint per year during one working shift.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Alaa Manee Head of 10th of Ramadan City authority, Her Excellency Hilde Klemetsdal, Ambassador of Norway to Egypt; Tarek El-Nabarawy, Head of the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate; Odd Gleditsch d.y, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jotun A/S; Morten Fon, President and CEO of Jotun, and other Jotun representatives.
The opening of El Mohandes Jotun’s newest and technologically advanced factory in Egypt reflects Jotun’s commitment to the country’s ambition to develop into a diversified economy with increased investments and focus in the manufacturing sector.
“Equipped with the latest technology to improve output and enhance the production processes, we are excited to see Jotun expanding its reach across Egypt and look forward to continue leading the industry with our innovative products and solutions,” said Abdulla Tawakol, Managing Director, El Mohandes Jotun.
The new facility will house multiple departments such as production, warehouse, and administrative offices. The new factory has been designed with a focus on limiting our environmental impact and energy consumption.
