Egyptian director Amr Salama on jury of International Emmy Awards
Salama, one the most accomplished Egyptian filmmakers of his generation, has written and directed multiple award-winning feature films.
His work includes numerous award-winning titles such as On A Day Like Today (2008); Asmaa (2011); Excuse My French (2014); Made In Egypt (2014); and Sheikh Jackson (2017).
In 2011, he co-directed the documentary, Tahrir 2011: The Good, The Bad & The Politician, a film that won several awards including the UNESCO award at the Venice Film Festival.
In 2020, Salama wrote and directed Netflix's first original TV series in Egypt titled Paranormal, which was listed by Variety as one of the best international shows that year.
He co-wrote and directed the film Extracurricular (2021).
He has co-produced and co-directed the TV series Bimbo for Shahid VIP.
