Egypt’s trade with G20 countries hit $88 bln in 2022
Egypt’s exports to the bloc surged by 21.1 percent year-on-year (YoY) to $25.5 billion in 2022.
Imports from the bloc also grew by 5.9 percent YoY to $62.4 billion.
Exports to G20
In 2022, Turkey was the top importer from Egypt among the G20, with a total value of $3.9 billion. Italy and Saudi Arabia trailed behind with $3.4 billion and $2.4 billion, respectively.
The United States imported $2.3 billion worth of goods from Egypt. Both South Korea and India imported $1.9 billion in foods from Egypt..

Meanwhile, China and Saudi Arabia were the first and second largest exporters to Egypt among the G20 with their exports reaching $14.4 and $7.8 billion, respectively.
The exports of US, Russia, India, and Germany to Egypt reached $6.7, $4.1, $4.1, and $4 billion, respectively.
Remittances from Egyptians working in the G20 countries increased by 3.6 percent YoY to $15.1 billion in 2021/2022.
