Fertiglobe and AD Ports to collaborate on logistics projects in Egypt and UAE
Fertiglobe, a specialist in ammonia, has signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understand (MoU) with AD Ports Group, aiming to explore logistics and supply chain opportunities for storing and shipping urea and ammonia at ports in Egypt and the UAE.
Fertiglobe is a partnership between ADNOC and OCI Global, the world’s largest seaborne exporter of urea and ammonia combined and the largest nitrogen fertiliser producer in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
The company hopes to reduce its greenhouse gas (GHG) footprint, enhance operational efficiency, and further automate its logistical activities by leveraging AD Ports’ cargo handling and storage infrastructure in proximity to Fertiglobe’s facilities and shipping destinations.
