Egypt's Railway Authority Announces Discounted Subscriptions for Students

The Railway Authority announced discounted subscriptions at nominal prices on the (3rd air-conditioned - 3rd ventilated - Long Live Egypt) trains on various lines for students of schools, institutes and universities.

Discounted tickets can be purchased in the subscriptions offices spread in the central stations throughout the country, where the Authority grants a discount on student subscriptions on “Long live Egypt” trains at a rate of 98%, dynamic ventilation trains at a rate of 97%, and third air-conditioned trains at a rate of 90%, provided that the reduction is from the full subscription value and in accordance with some controls.

This comes in implementation of the directives of the Minister of Transport, Kamel Al-Wazir, to take into account the social dimension of the students’ parents and based on the societal role played by the Authority.

Regarding the controls, the Railway Authority said that subscriptions are paid according to the distance between the departure station and the arrival station, with a maximum distance of 400 km.
