Egypt wins first place in Arab FinTech Challenge in Dubai

The competition, which took place on the sidelines of the Expand North Star Dubai from 15 to 18 October, was held in the MENA region for the first time among university students.

It aims to encourage and consolidate the idea of financial technology by supporting and stimulating the innovation of emerging projects, qualifying and supporting university youth technically to launch their projects.

The team won this challenge after a strong competition with various teams from other universities from several Arabic countries including the UAE, Lebanon, and Jordan.

GITEX North Star took place in the international business and economic hub of Dubai, to unite founders, VCs, ecosystem enablers, and tech leaders from around the globe to secure business and investment deals, increase their partner networks, and share knowledge.

The event was part of GITEX GLOBAL 2023, the world's largest technology exhibition hosted by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, gathering more than 1,000 investors and collectively managing assets exceeding $1 trillion.
