ITIDA concludes 12th edition of its annual employment fair in ICT
The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) has announced the conclusion of the 12th edition of its annual employment fair that was held virtually and focused on offering numerous job opportunities in IT and offshoring IT services. The employment fair was inaugurated by ITIDA CEO, Engineer Ahmed ElZaher and aimed to connect qualified students and university graduates with IT sector employers, offering them substantial job opportunities. The event saw participation from 49 IT companies, including 34 multinational and 15 local companies. Over 1100 job opportunities were made available across various fields of IT. Data-related jobs dominated the job opportunities with 200 jobs featuring data analysis, engineering, science, and big data. Another 180 jobs were given for Mobile app development and programming languages while 150 offered jobs related to testing, development, and software engineering. Interestingly, the majority, 73% of job opportunities were targeted toward junior-level employees whereas 27% opportunities were for senior levels. Over 4,000 job seekers registered at the fair, with a whopping 15,231 job applications being submitted. ITIDA’s Employment Fair aims to provide an open ecosystem offering professional development prospects to candidates, enabling interaction with organizations about job opportunities.
