Red Sea hosts Iron Man championship with 600 competitors from 52 countries

The Iron Man championship, a popular international sporting event, begins in the Sahl Hasheesh region located on Egypt's Red Sea. The tournament is slated to commence on Wednesday and continue for four days, with 600 competitors from 52 countries. It is expected to receive an overwhelming turnout from sports enthusiasts worldwide. The events will span from November 1-4, including a two-kilometer swimming race, a 90-kilometer cycling race, and a 21-kilometer running race. Red Sea Governor, Mr. Amr Hanafi, confirmed that the city of Hurghada is fully equipped to host the Iron Man 2023 Championship, sponsored by the Ministry of Youth and Sports. He added that the coastal city is ready to accommodate a large influx of international athletes. According to Hanafi, the competition greatly stimulates tourism in the governorate and enhances the region's reputation on a global scale. The Iron Man championship is part of Red Sea Governorate's strategy to attract international sporting events.
