Egypt bourse’s main index reaches all-time-high on Wednesday; gold prices rise
The EGX30 index rose 2.54 percent, settling at 23,986.56 points.
The EGX70 index edged higher by 0.75 percent, ending at 4,654.48 points.
The EGX100 index increased by 0.74 percent to close at 6,901.29 points.
The market capitalization gained EGP 35 billion, ending at around EGP 1,616 billion.
Misr Duty Free Shops was the biggest winner in the market. The stock surged 19.94 percent to close at EGP 24.12 per share.
The greatest loser in the market was North Cairo Mills. The stock fell 8.41 percent to end at EGP 36.06 per share.
Gold purchase prices
The purchase price of 24-carat gold reached EGP 3,000 per gram, EGP 44 higher compared to Tuesday.
The 21-carat gold price increased by EGP 30 to EGP 2,625 per gram.
The 18-carat gold price edged EGP 26 higher to EGP 2,250 per gram.
The price of the gold pound coin rose by EGP 340, recording EGP 21,000 for purchase.

With a buy rate of EGP 30.8277 and a sell rate of EGP 30.9586, the official EGP/USD exchange rate remains stable.
The euro is valued at EGP 32.9117 for purchase and EGP 33.0607 for sale.
The Saudi riyal is priced at EGP 8.2174 to buy and EGP 8.2536 to sell.
