Egypt :10% Increase in Number of Livestock

Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) issued a press release Annual bulletin of "Livestock Statistician 2022" and its most important.

• Indicators are as follows: 

Total number of livestock and animal (cow - buffalo -Sheep - goat - camel) reached 8.3 million 2022 versus 7.5 million in 2021, an increase by 10.0%.

Total number of slaughtered livestock reached 4.6 million heads in 2022, versus 4.2 million heads in 2021, an increase by 10.2 %.

Amount of meat resulting from slaughtered livestock reached 803 thousand tons in 2022, compared to 726 thousand tons in 2021, an increase by 10.6%.
