Fire Contained in Warehouse at Cairo Airport

An official source at Cairo International Airport stated that a limited fire broke out in one of the warehouses belonging to a shipping company under construction and equipment at Cairo International Airport.

Civil protection personnel affiliated with the General Administration of Cairo Air Port Police were immediately able to control the fire at the time it occurred, in cooperation with the company’s civil defense personnel, without causing any losses or injuries.

The source stated that an investigation is underway by the concerned authorities to determine the circumstances of the fire and determine the reasons for its occurrence.

The source stressed that Cairo Air Port Company follows the highest standards of protection, security and safety in all airport passenger terminals and ancillary buildings, and uses the latest civil protection devices and systems to ensure dealing with any events or emergency situations.
