AI could be aware in 2024: Amazon
Advances in generative AI, women's health technologies, and developer tools will reshape technology in coming years, the report said.
The report also predicted an "inflection point" for women's healthcare as more funding flows into FemTech startups, and companies use machine learning, connectivity, and personalized care to upend how women interact with the industry.
Moreover, developer productivity will surge as AI assistants evolve from code generators into "tireless collaborators and teachers," supporting engineers throughout the software lifecycle, wrote Werner Vogels, the author of the report and a chief technology officer at Amazon.
While higher education cannot keep pace with technological change, industry-led skills training resembling apprenticeships will close the gap between classroom and workplace needs, Vogels stressed.
