Egypt to host 4th Pakistan Africa Trade Development Conference in January
The events are scheduled to be held at the Egypt International Exhibition Centre in Cairo. This is the first time the conference is being held in Egypt, as previous editions were held in Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa.
“This decision was influenced by Egypt's strategic geographical location, connecting the Middle East and North Africa region, besides its rapidly growing economy and expansive consumer market,” the government of Pakistan added.
The conference will be attended by representatives from Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Burkina Faso, Mali, and Mauritania, as well as a delegation comprising over 100 business owners and traders from Pakistan.
The two events aim to boost relations between Pakistan and African countries, particularly in key trade sectors such as agriculture, textile, engineering, and services.
During the last edition in South Africa, Pakistani and South African companies signed agreements with $24 million.
