Burullus Gas lets contract for development offshore Egypt

Burullus Gas Co. let a contract to Longitude Engineering to provide detailed design and engineering services for subsea development of Phase-X at West Delta Deep Marine (WDDM) concession, part of Burullus gas field about 90 km offshore Egypt in the Mediterranean Sea on the northwestern portion of the Nile Delta.

Phase-X includes bringing online three subsea wells to supplement the existing 70 wells currently in production. Water depth at the site is 450-660 m. WDDM reservoirs have been developed to maintain current and future gas supplies to the Egyptian domestic market and the Egyptian LNG (ELNG) plant.
