Egypt : 5.0 % Increase in the value of trade balance deficit

Central agency for public mobilization and statistics issued Today Monthly bulletin of “Foreign Trade Data” November 2023.

The deficit value of trade Balance reached 3.07 billion dollars during November 2023, versus 2.92 billion dollars for the same month of previous year, Increase of 5.0%.

Exports value decreased by 20.6% as it reached 3.21 billion dollars during November 2023, versus 4.04 billion dollars for the same month of previous year, due to a decreased value of some commodities such as:(Ready-made cloths by 4.5%, petroleum products by 23.7%, crude oil by28.6%, fertilizers by 59.6%).

While exports value of some commodities increased during November 2023, versus the same month of previous year such as (Various pastries and food preparations by 26.6%, fresh fruits by 4.2%, flat-rolled products of iron or steel by 324.5%, carpets and kilims by 12.0%).

Imports value decreased by 9.9% as it reached 6.28 billion dollars during November 2023, versus 6.96 billion dollars for the same month of previous year, due to a decreased value of some commodities such as:(Wheat 41.0%, primary forms of plastics 1.7%, corn 5.0%, soybeans 14.6%).
