Serbia's NeoMedica to make hematology reagents in Egypt
Serbian bioscience technology firm NeoMedica will soon start producing hematology reagents in Egypt, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce said.
The production has been made possible under a strategic partnership deal that NeoMedica signed with Egyptian company El Hoda Trade & Supplies and the Egyptian Authority for Unified Procurement and Medical Supply (UPA), the Chamber of Commerce said in a statement on Tuesday.
Under the partnership agreement signed on February 3, the hematology reagents will be produced under the NeoMedica brand in the most advanced production facilities of El Hoda, while UPA will secure their sale in Egypt and provide support for their placement in neighbouring countries,
Thus, NeoMedica will transfer its know-how to Egypt and supervise the whole production process. The hematology reagents will be used in the sphere of in vitro diagnostics, according to the statement.
NeoMedica, based in the eastern town of Nis, has been cooperating with El Hoda and Egypt's health ministry since 2016. Its products are used in hematology, clinical chemistry, urinalysis, immunodiagnostics, vet analysis and point-of-care testing.
