Kazakh airlines will increase flights to Egypt, reports the press service of the Ministry of Transport.
“As a result of the negotiations, the parties agreed to increase the total number of permitted flights between the countries from 14 to 48 per week,” reads the report.
Bilateral negotiations were held in Astana between the aviation authorities of Kazakhstan and the Arab Republic of Egypt on May 6, 2024. The Kazakh delegation was headed by the Chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Aviation of the Republic of Kazakhstan Saltanat Tompiyeva, the Egyptian side was headed by the Deputy Secretary of State for Air Transport of the Aviation Administration of the Ministry of Aviation of Egypt, Mr. Hesham Abdel Baset.
Thus, the Kazakh side, in addition to the existing carriers Air Astana and SCAT, appointed Fly Aystan to operate regular flights between the countries. In turn, the Egyptian side has appointed Red Sea and Nile Air to the existing carriers EgyptAir, EgyprAir Cargo and Air Cairo.
