Egypt launches new labs affiliated to General Organization for Export and Import Control

Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan al-Khatib inaugurated earlier this week the optical, electrical, and photometric testing lab at Cairo International Airport and the technical proficiency testing (PT) unit of laboratories at the General Organization for Export and Import Control.

At the airport, the minister also inspected the testing laboratory of electric motors' energy efficiency as well as the laboratory of pressure and rationalization of water consumption.

As for his visit to the organization's headquarters, Minister Khatib inspected the quality control labs specialized in measuring pesticides, toxins, oils, additives, enzymes, and hormones in agricultural and food products. That is in addition to laboratories of physical examination and rapid examination.
