Egypt Discusses with Russia's "Rosatom" Investment Opportunities

Mohamed Shimi, Minister of Public Business Sector met with Murad Aslanov, Director of the Regional Office of the Russian Rosatom Company in Egypt, the leading company in the field of energy and nuclear technology, and the accompanying delegation, to discuss ways of joint cooperation.


The meeting discussed the many promising investment opportunities in companies of the Ministry of Public Business Sector and the areas of partnership available in various sectors, including renewable and clean energy, mineral, chemical and pharmaceutical industries.



Shimi praised the strong and historical relations between Egypt and Russia, stressing the Ministry’s interest and welcome in strengthening cooperation and partnership with the local and foreign private sector and attracting investment in a way that contributes to supporting the national industry and localizing technology.


He pointed to the facilities and incentives provided by the state to support and encourage investors and reduce any obstacles they may encounter.


The Rosatom delegation reviewed the company’s activities and areas of work through 300 companies and its new projects and its presence in about 60 countries, stressing the Russian side’s interest in strengthening cooperation with Egypt, giving it priority in the company’s business strategy.


"Egypt is a gateway to accessing the Middle East and African markets," the delegation said.
