Egypt, UAE Discuss Cooperation in Energy Domain
Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum discussed with Mohammed Saeed Al Dhanhani, Director of the Fujairah Emiri Diwan ways to enhance joint petroleum cooperation and investment opportunities available in the two countries.
The Minister confirmed in a statement Wednesday that the two countries enjoy advanced infrastructure, especially in the areas of storing and trading oil and petroleum products.
He pointed out that there are new expansions being implemented at the Al-Hamra Petroleum Port on the Mediterranean coast, and there is a possibility for cooperation and integration between the two countries to benefit from these facilities and infrastructure in this field. Domains.
On his part, Al Dhanhani stressed the importance of cooperation between the two countries and building on the successes achieved in the fields of storing and trading petroleum and its products as well as ships bunkering in both countries.
He added that the UAE has the second largest port for storing and trading petroleum products in the world and has an advanced infrastructure, and it is possible to benefit from the exchange of experiences that the UAE and Egypt enjoy in these fields.
At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to form a joint working team that will be in constant contact to review and study the investment opportunities available in the two countries.
