The USAID’s Mission Director in Egypt Sean Jones announced Sunday that millions of US dollars have been pumped into the cultural tourism sector in Egypt, alongside the restoration and development of many archaeological sites in Alexandria, Luxor, Aswan and more across the country.

This came during the opening ceremony of the Bimaristan Hospital al-Muayyad Sheikh in Souq al-Silah area in Cairo, which is currently being developed within the Integrated Management of Cultural Tourism (IMCT) project in cooperation between the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the USAID.

Jones stressed the ongoing efforts through the IMCT project to develop archaeological sites, and thanked the attendees for their keenness to participate in this celebration.
