Major General Atef Moftah, general supervisor of the Grand Egyptian Museum project, Sebastien Riez, CEO of Schneider Electric Northeast Africa & Levant, and key officials from both sides attended the signing ceremony.

This partnership is part of the museum's broader strategy to achieve sustainability and improve energy efficiency through cutting-edge technology.

GEM has received several awards, including five ISO certifications in different fields, such as occupational safety and health and environmental and energy management.

The museum has received the Green Building Award during the Environment and Development Forum and the international EDGE Zero-Carbon certification.

The MoU framework explores the design and construction of a smart museum concept using Schneider Electric’s expertise and the EcoStruxure Platform.

This technology will manage critical infrastructure, including electricity, HVAC systems, and data networks, thus enhancing the museum's operations reliability and reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions.
