Egypt to invest €40 mln in Robeiki City expansion
Kamel Al-Wazir, the Minister of Transport and Industry, witnessed the signing of the agreement between Anis Kammoun, Managing Director of LEONI Egypt, and Nahed Youssef, Chairperson of CID. The project is expected to create approximately 3,000 direct and indirect jobs, providing significant employment opportunities in the region.
LEONI Egypt aims to boost its exports from Egypt by 50 percent, increasing the value of exports to €240 million annually by 2025 and 2026. Furthermore, the company expects to complete its factory and begin production within one year.
Robeiki City
Established in 2020, Robeiki City was designed to enhance Egypt's industrial landscape, particularly in the leather industry. The city offers state-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities that support manufacturers, streamline production processes, and promote growth.
Expansion into electrical harness production constitutes a strategic move for Egypt as it seeks to diversify its manufacturing base and strengthen its position in the global market. Electrical harnesses are essential components in various industries, including automotive and electronics, making this project a vital step in boosting local production capabilities.
