Egypt, Romania discuss agricultural cooperation
Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Alaa Farouk said that the agricultural ties between Egypt and Romania are historical with a promising future.
Farouk pointed out to the importance of cooperation, exchanging expertise, increasing opportunities of trade exchange of crops and agricultural products in both countries in addition to agricultural scientific research, developing animal wealth including the field of raising livestock and poultry, fish farms, green houses and upgrading irrigation ways.
This came during Farouk’s meeting with Romanian counterpart Florin Barbu to discuss means to boost cooperation between Egypt and Romania in the agricultural field and the related activities on the sidelines of Farouk’s participation in the Egyptian-Romanian higher technical committee held in Bucharest.
The meeting tackled means to increase the Romanian investments in Egypt especially in the field of agricultural mechanism, activities of animal production and animal health, dairy and food safety.
