Egyptian Min., Jordanian Amb. talk ways to enhance investment in electricity field
Egyptian Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Dr. Mahmoud Esmat received Thursday Amjad Al-Adayleh, Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the Arab Republic of Egypt at the ministry's headquarters in the Administrative Capital.
During the meeting, the minister and the ambassador discussed ways to support and enhance partnership, cooperation and investment in various fields of electricity, electrical interconnection, new and renewable energy, and the development and modernization of networks.
Dr. Mahmoud Esmat welcomed the Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, stressing the depth of the historical relations between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Kingdom at all levels, and the keenness to develop paths of cooperation in the field of existing and future electrical interconnection.
The minister also pointed to the deep ties that bring together the two brotherly peoples, which are an ideal model for constructive cooperation between Arab countries in a way that enhances joint Arab action and serves the interests of the Arab peoples.
The meeting touched on the vision of the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy on diversifying energy sources, the energy mix strategy, reliance on new and renewable energies, and supporting the private sector to establish clean energy projects.
