Egypt Advances 3 Spots in Global Fixed Internet Speed

Egypt advanced 3 spots globally, in fixed Internet speed, during September, with the efforts of the ICT sector, in improving Internet services to compete with the most developed countries in the world, to remain the most developed sector over the past five years.

According to the Ookla Speedtest index, Egypt's performance in the fixed Internet speed, by 3 positions globally during September 2024, with a speed of 76.38 megabits, so Egypt remains the first Africa and 70th in the world in the fixed Internet speed. 

This comes within the framework of the continuous efforts of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, through plans to develop and improve the quality of the terrestrial Internet implemented by Telecom Egypt.
