The American University in Cairo launches cybersecurity specialization
The American University in Cairo (AUC) has announced a significant step to enhance its academic standing and serve the job market by launching a new cybersecurity specialization.
In addition, the university is strengthening international academic cooperation by welcoming the first cohort of students in a joint program with the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen in Germany to obtain a dual master’s degree in political science from both universities.
Alongside launching a new cybersecurity specialization within the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, the AUC has embedded systems and artificial intelligence specializations that were added in the previous two years. The addition of this specialization comes in response to the growing need for qualified experts to protect digital infrastructure and safeguard data from cyberattacks.
