Accor to open world's largest Sofitel in Egypt
Accor is set to open its fourth Sofitel property in Egypt, marking its largest property under the luxury brand.
The El Gezirah Sheraton Hotel & Towers will be converted into the Sofitel Cairo Downtown Nile, which will open in January 2025 with 615 rooms and suites offering panoramic views of the Nile.
The hotel will also feature four F&B venues, including riverside dining options, a wellness centre with a spa, pool, and fitness centre, plus over 2,000 sqm of events space.
As well as offering direct access to the Nile, the hotel is located near attractions such as the forthcoming Grand Egyptian Museum and the Giza Pyramids.
The hotel joins sister properties including Sofitel Cairo Nile El Gezirah, Sofitel Winter Palace Luxor and Sofitel Legend Old Cataract Aswan.
