Egypt to host 12th edition of World Urban Forum Monday
The WUF, convened under the United Nations Human Settlements Program (UN-Habitat) every two years, aims to address rapid urbanization and its impact on communities, cities, economies, climate change, and policies.
The event will showcase Egypt’s advancements in urban growth, emphasizing the nation’s role as a regional leader in comprehensive urban development.
The forum will see the participation of a host of ministers from the various world countries, along with representatives from the international organizations, academics, business leaders, and the NGO.
The UN established the WUF in 2001. It is the second most important event on the UN agenda after the climate summit.
