Saudi Arabia tops list of BRICS states importing from Egypt
Saudi Arabia topped the list of BRICS countries importing from Egypt during the first 8 months of the current year 2024, according to data from the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).
The value of Egyptian exports to the Kingdom amounted to about $2.2 billion, reported CAPMAS.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE), which received Egyptian exports worth $1.8 billion
Brazil, which received Egyptian exports worth $488 million
Russia, which received Egyptian exports worth $438 million
India, which received Egyptian exports worth $343 million
China, which received Egyptian exports worth $290 million
The data of the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics showed an increase in the volume of trade exchange between Egypt and the BRICS group to reach $30.2 billion in the period from January to August, compared to $26.2 billion during the same period in 2023, an increase of 15 percent.
The value of Egyptian exports to the BRICS group amounted to about $5.7 billion during the first 8 months of this year, compared to $5.3 billion during the same period in 2023, an increase of 7.3 percent.
In contrast, the value of Egyptian imports from the BRICS group increased to reach $24.5 billion during the first 8 months of this year, compared to $20.9 billion during the same period in 2023, an increase of 17 percent.
