The Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce has unveiled plans to potentially establish a logistics and storage hub for grains, sugar, and oils within the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone), supported by Brazilian investment.

Walid Gamal El-Din, Chairman of the SCZone, met with a delegation from the Chamber to explore collaborative opportunities, emphasizing partnerships between SCZone’s ports and Brazil’s Santos and Itaqui ports.

El-Din highlighted SCZone's strong international competitiveness and its access to a range of global trade agreements, giving it exceptional reach into international markets.

He also pointed to recent improvements in investor services, notably the streamlined one-stop-shop system designed to simplify licensing and permit processes across all sectors.

El-Din stressed the significance of collaboration with the Brazilian business community, especially as Egypt joins the BRICS group, where Brazil plays a key role.

The Arab-Brazilian Chamber delegation reaffirmed its dedication to enhancing economic relations, aiming to boost cooperation in logistics, food production, pharmaceuticals, and automotive manufacturing.
