Egypt's food exports rise 15.7%, led by sweet potatoes and citrus fruits
The country's vegetable exports, featuring 60 varieties, amounted to nearly 40,000 tons. Leading the exports were sweet potatoes at 12,000 tons, onions at 10,000 tons, and beans at 6,000 tons. Fruit exports included 34 varieties, totaling about 35,000 tons, with citrus fruits leading at 10,000 tons, followed by mangoes and strawberries at 6,000 and 5,000 tons, respectively.
These exports reached 172 countries, with Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Russia, and the USA being the primary destinations for Egypt's agricultural produce.
