Business sector explores collaboration with Turkish Fertilizer Company IGSAS

Minister of Public Business Sector, Mohamed Shimi, recently met with a delegation from IGSAS, a leading Turkish fertilizer producer, to discuss potential collaboration in the fertilizer industry.

 

The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between Egypt’s state-owned fertilizer companies and IGSAS in areas such as production, technology development, and capacity expansion.

 

Minister Shimi highlighted the ministry’s ongoing efforts to modernize and upgrade the production lines at its fertilizer companies. He stressed the importance of integrating clean energy solutions to boost efficiency and productivity.

 

The goal of these initiatives is to improve product quality, meet local demand, and increase export potential, reinforcing the ministry's commitment to supporting food security.

 

The minister also underscored the role of international partnerships in advancing Egypt’s fertilizer sector. He expressed the ministry’s desire to collaborate with leading global companies to improve sustainability, product quality, and production efficiency, while also reducing emissions and ensuring environmental compatibility through modern technology.

 

During the meeting, IGSAS representatives provided an overview of their operations, including their capabilities in producing ammonia, urea, and compound fertilizers.

 

They also expressed interest in partnering with Egypt’s fertilizer companies to upgrade production lines and increase output capacity.
