Egypt, Jordan Enter New Agreement to Use Egyptian LNG Infrastructure
Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi and his Jordanian counterpart Saleh Al-Kharabsheh witnessed the signing of an agreement aimed at maximizing the utilization of Egyptian infrastructure to facilitate the export of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Jordan.
The agreement was signed by Yassin Mohamed, the Executive Managing Director (Expert) Delegated to Supervise Technical Office, Special Projects, and Process Safety at the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS), and Sufian Bataineh, the General Manager of National Electric Power Company (NEPC).
Following the signing, Badawi stated that the agreement aligns with the commitment of both brotherly countries to foster ongoing integration in the natural gas sector. This collaboration aims to secure supplies and achieve mutual benefits by optimizing the use of existing infrastructure.
He also thanked the work teams of all parties involved contributing to the completion of this agreement.
