Egypt Aims To Lead Middle East Marble Exports

The Egyptian government is embarking on significant developments for its marble and granite production, aiming to position itself as one of the leading exporters of these commodities within the Middle East. Mohamed Aref, the President of the Egyptian-Africa Association for Marble and Granite, highlighted key plans focusing on enhancing the industry through the development of the Schuq al-Thuban area, traditionally known for its marble quarrying.

"The development and improvement of the Schuq al-Thuban area is expected to yield enormous positive results," Aref stated, emphasizing the importance of this initiative for the regional and national economy. According to Aref, investments are being directed toward establishing comprehensive logistics facilities, ensuring not only production but also efficient distribution channels for exported materials.
