The country welcomed 14.9 million international visitors in that year, outperforming Morocco, which recorded 14.5 million, and Tunisia, with 9.4 million. This surge in tourism has not only boosted Egypt’s global standing but has also had a considerable economic impact, with the country generating over £11.4 billion ($14.1 billion) from international tourist receipts in the same year.

Egypt’s score of 3.96, closely following Mauritius and South Africa, reflects its growing appeal to international travelers. The TTCI index, which evaluates policies and infrastructure related to travel, indicates Egypt’s significant improvements in facilitating tourism.

Travelers must have a passport that is valid for at least six months from the intended date of arrival.
